Plot: Werner Nekes was initially interested in visual arts. His friendship with the artist Eva Hesse inspired him to express his ideas of painting with cinematic means. Nekes saw himself as a film-making artist and developed an independent film language. He wants to make something visible in his films that you normally can not see, he wants to create a “film reality” and not make films about reality.
